Based on site at Hinkley Point C, this role offers the opportunity to work on one of the UK’s most complex and high-profile nuclear new build projects. You’ll be embedded in a fast-paced delivery environment, working alongside multidisciplinary teams to ensure systems are ready for construction, installation, and commissioning. Expect a highly regulated setting, strong coordination across engineering and construction teams, and a focus on achieving key readiness milestones for MEH systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support delivery ofpre-construction readiness activities across MEH (Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC) systems
- Ensure systems, documentation, and interfaces arefully prepared for construction and installation
- Review and validateengineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
- Coordinate withdesign, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure alignment on readiness milestones
- Identify and resolvetechnical issues and interface clashes prior to installation
- Support development ofinstallation sequences, work packs, and readiness plans
- Monitor and report onconstruction readiness progress and key risks
- Contribute tosystem handover and commissioning readiness activities
- Ensure compliance withnuclear safety, quality, and regulatory standards
Required Skills:
- Demonstrable experience working as aMechanical, Electrical, HVAC, M&E or MEP Engineer
- Proven involvement inpre-construction readiness / construction readiness on large infrastructure, nuclear, or energy projects
- Strong understanding ofMEH systems installation, sequencing, and delivery requirements
- Experience coordinating withdesign, construction, and commissioning teams
- Knowledge ofsite-based engineering and construction processes
- Ability to review and interprettechnical documentation, drawings, and specifications
- Experience working inhighly regulated environments (e.g. nuclear, defence, major projects)
Required Qualifications:
- ABachelor’s orMaster’s degree inEngineering, or equivalent military experience.
Desirable Skills:
- Background withTier 1 contractors or key MEH subcontractors
- Familiarity withcommissioning, system handover, or energisation activities
- Understanding ofnuclear safety standards and quality requirements
- Experience withinterface management across disciplines (civil, mechanical, electrical)
