We are looking for an experiencedI&C Cabling Engineer to manage and supervise all aspects ofInstrumentation & Control cabling and electrical design for the Hinkley Point C project.

This role focuses on ensuringconsistency, quality, and integration of cabling studies, electrical designs, and supplier interfaces, while supportingloop diagrams, I/O lists, and cable routing/sizing. You will act as the technical point of contact for electrical and I&C interfaces, validating supplier data and supporting installation planning.

Review and consolidatecabling and electrical design inputs from:

  • I&C Engineers (Distributed Control Systems and loop diagrams)
  • Suppliers (actuators, sensors, cable routing, and conduits)
  • System Engineers (HVAC, fluid, and electrical systems)

Performconsistency checks on collected electrical and cabling data, identifying discrepancies and managing associated design changes.

  • Produce and maintainInput-Output (I/O) Lists and interface documentation for turnkey contracts
  • Design and validatecable routing, sizing, and loop connections, ensuring compliance with nuclear and electrical safety standards
  • Track and monitor thematurity of supplier feedback, managing follow-up on changes, interface issues, and design updates
  • Liaise withinstallation teams to support accurate implementation of cabling and electrical designs on site

Required Skills:

  • Experience inI&C cabling and electrical design in industrial or nuclear environments
  • Electrical Design in I&C
  • Knowledge ofloop diagrams, I/O lists, and control systems integration
  • Experience withcable routing, sizing, and installation design
  • Ability toconsolidate and review supplier studies, identifying inconsistencies and resolving design issues
  • Familiarity withnuclear safety standards and regulated environments
  • Experience coordinating acrossmulti-disciplinary engineering and supplier teams

Required Qualifications:

  • ABachelor’s orMaster’s degree inEngineering, or equivalent military experience.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience working onNuclear Projects
  • Experience withturnkey contracts and supplier coordination
  • Knowledge ofCAD or cable management software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar)
  • Experience withinstallation planning and electrical interface verification
