As an Electrical Test Engineer, you will join our Coventry team to support our activities within the Automotive sector.

You will play a key role in the testing and validation of advanced electrical and battery systems within a high-performance engineering environment. Working across development and validation activities, you will support the delivery of electrified powertrain technologies through hands-on testing, fault investigation, and data analysis

  • Location: Coventry
  • On Site: 2-3 days per week
  • Clearance: Clearable
  • Experience Level: Mid-Level

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the testing and validation ofelectrical and battery systems
  • Develop and executetest procedures and validation activities
  • Monitor, analyse, and interprettest data, identifying faults and trends
  • Supportbattery fault-finding and root cause investigations
  • Coordinate testing activities with engineering and operational teams
  • Producetechnical reports and test documentation
  • Support the integration and commissioning of test equipment and instrumentation
  • Ensure testing activities are completed in line withquality and safety standards

Required Skills:

  • Experience inelectrical test engineering within automotive or electrification environments
  • Knowledge ofbattery systems, EV powertrains, or electrical propulsion systems
  • Experience conductingtesting, validation, and fault-finding activities
  • Ability to analyse and interprettechnical and performance data
  • Understanding ofinstrumentation and test equipment
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Required Qualifications:

  • ABachelor’s orMaster’s degree inEngineering, or equivalent military experience.
  • Experience withinautomotive, EV, or electrification programmes
  • Exposure tohigh-voltage or safety-critical systems

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with tools such asCANalyzer, MATLAB, AVL Concerto, or JIRA
  • Familiarity withbattery validation or powertrain test facilities
  • Understanding ofDFMEA, 8D, or structured problem-solving methodologies
  • Experience supportingelectric drive unit (EDU) or battery testing programmes
