Senior Software Engineer (Platform & Backend)

Our client is a fast-growing SaaS company transforming the automotive dealership experience by automating administrative processes, streamlining sales workflows, and ensuring compliance.

They are looking for ahighly experienced Senior Software Engineer (Platform & Backend) to join their fully remote team. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, taking ownership of architecture, and leading technical initiatives across the entire stack.

This isnot a people management role. Instead, you’ll act as a technical leader, driving architecture, owning critical parts of the platform, and leading projects from design through production.

Responsabilities:

• Own and evolve major parts of the application architecture.
• Design, build and maintain scalable software across backend, frontend and infrastructure.
• Lead technical projects from design through production.
• Make architectural decisions and drive technical direction.
• Build and operate production systems with a strong focus on reliability, scalability and performance.
• Review code and promote engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve platform resilience.
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to deliver high-impact features.

• Extensive experience building and scaling SaaS products.
• Strong expertise inTypeScript, with solid experience acrossbackend, frontend and cloud infrastructure.
• Strong backend engineering experience.
• Experience operating and maintainingproduction infrastructure in cloud environments.
• Proven experience designing software architecture and leading technical projects.
• Previous experience as aTech Lead, Staff Engineer, Principal Engineer or Senior Software Engineer with architectural ownership.
• Comfortable working across the full stack and taking ownership from infrastructure through backend to frontend.
• Experience with AWS, Pulumi, Bun, React, Vite, GraphQL, PostgreSQL and Redis is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced startup environment.

• Fully remote, based in Portugal.
• Salary range:50k – 80k per year
