Job Description​
Saint Luke’s Hospital is seeking a PRN Speech Pathologist to join our team!
Provides prevention, screening, evaluation, diagnosis, management and counseling services to clients with speech/ language, cognitive-communication and /or oral-pharyngeal sensorimotor impairments. Plans directs and conducts habilitative, rehabilitative and counseling programs to treat impairments involving verbal and written language.
- PRN: hour day shifts for weekday and weekend shifts. Typically 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. Minimum requirement is 4 total shifts per 8 week scheduling block with 2 of those being weekend shifts, 1 weekday, and the remaining shift either weekend or weekday. Also required to work on or around major holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas/New Year) and on or around 1 minor (Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day.)
- Evaluates patients after impairment, injury, or disease. Â
- Creates an individualized patient-centered treatment plan based on evidenced based practice and selects appropriate interventions based upon evaluation and assessment of patient. Â
- Re-evaluates and provides periodic reassessment of patient progress and contributes to discharge planning. Â
- May supervise treatment provided by students and assistants. Â
- Participates and makes recommendations for client care interventions to the interdisciplinary health care team. Â
- Delegates and instructs supportive personnel in services to be provided. Â
- Provides timely documentation per department and/or entity policy and as required by insurance provider to meet licensing, certification, regulatory, reimbursement requirements, and physician treatment plan.Â
- Uses professional judgment to ensure safety to self, patients, and others at all times.Â
- Performs all other duties as requested by manager.  Â

- Meets system and departmental shift requirementsÂ
- Bachelor’s degree required
- MO Speech Pathology license required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence designation preferred
