Intermediate Full Stack Developer

Full Stack Javascript DeveloperWanted: AlgaeCal is looking for an intermediate Full Stack Developer to join our  fun-loving Dev team. In  this role, you'll work hands-on with our new middleware and React frontend, tackling both front and back-end tasks to squash bugs and build features that elevate our user experience. You’ll also contribute to creating and refining customer-facing content and crafting high-converting sales pages within our CMS.

This job might be for you if you’ve got…

• A resume that wows us. We expect you’ll have proven web development skills involving front and back end. And we’ll also expect you to be skilled at working in the overlap between the two.
• 2+ years of experience in a software development role. You’ll be able to provide us with examples of your work in a wide variety of coding niches.
• An encyclopedic knowledge of React, Node.js, & Typescript. 
• A thick portfolio that demonstrates your mastery of all-things dev. Sorry, but if you have to Google ‘Bitbucket’; or you’ve never heard of ‘AWS’, this isn’t the position for you. 
• Next level bug resolving skills. In fact, you’re so good at dealing with bugs you should probably be deployed on a mission to Klendathu.

In this role, you’ll help bring our design vision to life across our eCommerce platforms — building clean, reusable React components, registering them in our Shopify Hydrogen theme, and helping our page-building team move faster without sacrificing quality.

You’ll also work on the backend, creating feature enhancements and bug fixes in our Node.js middleware, investigating tickets, writing tests, submitting pull requests, and helping keep our storefront experience smooth, fast, and reliable. This is a hands-on coding role for someone who enjoys both sides of the stack: turning designs into polished customer-facing experiences, while also understanding the middleware that keeps everything working behind the scenes.

• The know-how to add new components to the React component library and register them in Shopify Hydrogen for the page building team to use, as well as edit existing components. There’s no ifs, ands, or buts about it - you’ll need at least 2 years of experience as a kickass software developer to succeed in this role.
• A thick portfolio that demonstrates your mastery of all-things dev. Sorry, but if you have to Google ‘Bitbucket’; or you’ve never heard of ‘AWS’, this isn’t the position for you.
