Purpose of Role

The Product Owner – Execution owns the vision, roadmap, prioritised backlog, and value delivery for Weir’s warehouse, logistics, distribution, transportation, and customer fulfilment capabilities. This role provides the opportunity to shape standard, scalable solutions across the global Supply Chain domain, including SAP EWM and Transportation Management. Working across business, technology, and operational teams, the Product Owner will turn complex execution needs into practical improvements that strengthen service, productivity, and inventory accuracy. The role will support the S4+ Programme and continue into business-as-usual ownership, driving adoption, continuous improvement, and measurable value.

Key Responsibilities

• Product Strategy and Value Delivery: Own and maintain the Execution product vision, roadmap, and prioritised backlog, aligning delivery with Supply Chain strategy, business value, user needs, risk, and process-consolidation priorities.
• Execution Process and Solution Ownership: Translate warehouse, logistics, distribution, transport, inventory movement, and fulfilment requirements into clear backlog items, user stories, and acceptance criteria, ensuring SAP EWM and Transportation Management capabilities support standard and scalable processes.
• Cross-Functional Delivery and Adoption: Lead execution-product improvements across design, testing, deployment, go-live, hypercare, and transition to BAU, coordinating dependencies across business, data, integration, technology, change, testing, and external delivery partners.
• Performance and Continuous Improvement: Use OTIF, logistics productivity, inventory accuracy, warehouse performance, transport performance, and fulfilment insights to prioritise improvements, challenge unnecessary local variation, and drive adoption and value realisation.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications

• Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above.
• Demonstrated experience as a Product Owner, Logistics Manager, Distribution Manager, Warehouse Operations Leader, EWM/TM Product Lead, Business Lead, or subject-matter expert in a complex regional or global environment.
• Strong knowledge of logistics execution, warehouse operations, inventory movement, distribution, transport management, and customer fulfilment, with experience in SAP EWM, SAP Transportation Management, SAP S/4HANA, or equivalent platforms.
• Experience managing product backlogs and translating business requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methods; familiarity with Jira, Azure DevOps, SAP Cloud ALM, Signavio, or similar tools is beneficial.
