Data Analyst
Location: Remote role but travel across national sites
Salary up to £45,000 per annum plus £4,000 company car allowance
Contract: Full time – 2-year fixed term contracts, Monday to Friday
About the Role:
Mears Housing Management is looking for a Data Analyst to help deliver the Property Management Platform (PMP), a transformation programme for the Asylum Accommodation & Support Services Contract (AASC). The Data Analyst will help turn PMP data into clear insight, support better data quality, stronger reporting, benefits tracking and more confident operational decision-making. Â
PMP is being introduced to provide a single, more reliable way to manage property, occupancy and operational information across AASC. It will improve data quality, strengthen reporting and support more consistent ways of working across teams. Â
Key Responsibilities Â
- Collect, organise, analyse and interpret programme data. Â
- Identify issues, trends, risks and insights to support decision-making. Â
- Develop reports, dashboards and KPI information. Â
- Support data validation, reconciliation and quality assurance. Â
- Recommend improvements to data, processes, controls and reporting. Â
Role Criteria:
- Experience analysing, validating and reporting on complex, multi-layered operational or project data. Â
- Strong SQL skills are essential, with practical experience writing queries and working across multiple SQL views to:Â Extract and filter data, Join data from multiple tables, Summarise data, Investigate discrepancies and validate data qualityÂ
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills; including:Â XLOOKUP / VLOOKUP, PivotTables, Complex formulas and conditional logic, Data cleansing, validation and reconciliation, Manipulating and analysing large datasetsÂ
- Skilled in the use of VBA & PowerBI and experience working with programme, project or operational performance data. Â
- Ability to identify trends, data quality issues and root causes, and translate into concise, meaningful insight and recommendations. Â
- Experience developing management information, KPI reporting or dashboards that clearly communicate performance and areas requiring attention.Â
- Clear communication skills, and confidence presenting insight. Â
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Â
- Existing Security Clearance is a preference. Â
- Central government or repairs and maintenance experience.
- Operational exposure and understanding.

To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be aged over 21 have held your licence over 3 months and have less than 9 points.
