Senior Experience Strategist

We’re looking for aSenior Experience Strategist to join our team (Melbourne or Sydney) for a 12-month fixed-term contract.

You’ll be leading experience efforts across a range of clients and projects from digital products and services to brand and retail experiences, shaping strategy and delivering human-centred work that moves people and brands forward.

What You’ll Do (Day to Day)

• Lead and deliver end-to-end experience strategy and design across complex digital, service, and brand touchpoints.
• Own the design approach from discovery and framing through to delivery and optimisation.
• Conduct and synthesiseresearch and testing to uncover user needs, pain points, and opportunities.
• Translate insight into artefacts likejourney maps, service blueprints, user flows, wireframes, and prototypes.
• Facilitate co-design and stakeholder workshops, driving alignment and clarity across disciplines.
• Mentor and guide other designers, uplifting the craft and strategic thinking of the broader team.
• Partnering withcreative, strategy, and technology leads to shape integrated, experience-led solutions.
• Championdesign systems, accessibility, and best practice, ensuring our experiences are usable, inclusive, and delightful.
• Present confidently to clients, helping them connect design thinking with business and customer outcomes.
  
  

What You Bring:

Essential

• 5+ years’ experience inexperience, service, or product design across agency, consultancy, or in-house environments.
• Proven ability tolead projects and teams, managing client relationships and delivery outcomes.
• Strongresearch and synthesis skills, translating insights into actionable design strategies.
• Advanced proficiency inFigma,Miro, and related design and collaboration tools.
• Expertise ininformation architecture, prototyping, and design systems.
• Experiencefacilitating workshops and presenting to senior stakeholders.
• A compelling portfolio that demonstratesend-to-end ownership, design impact, and team collaboration.

Desirable

• SomeAgency experience - Akcelo can be a fast paced work environment and our senior team members will benefit from having experience working in similar places.
• Experience incoaching and mentoring other designers.
• Familiarity withCX strategy,behavioural design, oremerging tech (AI, motion, data-driven design).
• Exposure to agile or hybrid project delivery environments.
