Job Description
BAE Systems is seeking an Alteration Installation Team (AIT) Project Manager who is detail oriented and a motivated self-starter. The selected candidate will be an integral part of a diverse team of professionals and subject matter experts providing alteration and installation support to our Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Webster Outlying Field (WOLF) customers.The selected candidate will:
- perform planning, resource, budgeting and technical operations management for CONUS and OCONUS ship and shore installations;
- develop work breakdown structures and plan of action and milestone schedules to ensure proper project execution and identify technical and business resources required.
- review status of projects, manage schedules and prepare status reports.
- assess issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality and customer satisfaction goals and objectives.
- conduct on-site job inspections and reviews.
- provide analytical and technical guidance to project teams.
Required Skills and Education
Bachelor's Degree in business, project management, engineering or related discipline and at least 3 years of related experience OR High School diploma and at least 7 years of related experienceMinimum of 3 years of experience with Navy Modernization Program and performing shipboard system installations
Experience working in Project/Program Management
Ability to demonstrate professionalism, leadership and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing to all levels within the company
Ability to initiate, prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint
Preferred Skills and Education
Minimum of 5 years of experience with Navy Modernization Processes and shipboard installationsMinimum of 1 year of budgeting experience
Comprehensive understanding of NAVSEA Technical Specification 9090.310(series) and NAVSEA Standard Items
Ability to read and interpret ship installation drawings
Ability to recruit, select, mentor, motivate and develop direct reports
PMP Certification
Willingness to travel up to 10% yearly
