Application Design Engineer - BMS

About the Role
AIS Digital Energy is looking for an Application Design Engineer to support the design, engineering, implementation, and commissioning of Building Management Systems (BMS) and Low Voltage (LV/ELV) solutions.
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering customer projects from design through commissioning and handover, ensuring high-quality execution, system reliability, and customer satisfaction. You will work closely with project teams and customers to develop integrated building automation solutions across commercial, industrial, healthcare, hospitality, and residential projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, engineer, and commission BMS and LV/ELV solutions.
- Develop system architectures, control strategies, network topologies, and technical specifications.
- Review project requirements, drawings, and technical submittals.
- Select and configure controllers, sensors, and field devices.
- Configure, program, and troubleshoot BMS controllers, HMIs, and communication networks.
- Integrate BMS with HVAC, lighting control, power monitoring, CCTV, access control, fire alarm, GRMS, IPTV, and other building systems.
- Configure and troubleshoot communication protocols including BACnet, Modbus, KNX, OPC, and related technologies.
- Perform FAT, SAT, commissioning, testing, and system validation activities.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and integration issues.
- Prepare technical documentation, commissioning reports, operation manuals, and handover packages.
- Provide technical support and training to customers and maintenance teams.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and cybersecurity standards.
- Supervise installation activities and support project execution when required.
- Travel locally and internationally for project delivery and support.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Power Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- 1–4 years of experience in Building Management Systems (BMS), Building Automation, or LV/ELV systems.
- Hands-on experience with BMS and KNX configuration and commissioning.
- Good understanding of HVAC systems, control logic, and building automation principles.
- Knowledge of communication protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, KNX, OPC, and related standards.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Schneider Electric EBO/AS-P, Modicon, Honeywell CentraLine, Alerton, Siemens Desigo, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of Lighting Control, GRMS, Fire Alarm, and Energy Management Systems.
- Familiarity with AVEVA System Platform, SCADA, or HMI solutions.
- Experience working on commercial, industrial, healthcare, hospitality, or residential projects.
