About
The Product Support Specialist (PSS) assists Ahead account managers through formal technical design assistance of Ahead’s solution and service offerings to existing and prospective customers.  The PSS helps with technical aspects of a sales campaign.  As a Product Support Specialist you are a part of the Engineering organization, responsible for quoting/sizing, building configurations, designing and architecting.  Your goal as a PSS should be to help build skills, relationships, and industry credibility across more than one of these segments to drive product and consulting sales.Â
Time management and prioritization are essential attributes of a successful PSS.  Your goal is to evolve into the technical thought leader for each of your clients.Â

Roles and Responsibilties
Work closely with Account Teams and Sales Operations Specialists to produce bills of materials for customer specified solutions.Â
Complete configurations and quotes for all vendor hardware and software solutions.Â
Collaborate with Technical Architects to complete solutions performance analysis and sizing.Â
Gather Pre-Sales proposals and documentation for Project Transition process.Â
Complete pre-site qualification and documentation quickly and accurately.Â
Create baseline proposals and RFP responses.Â
Trains Technical Architects on opportunity and quoting process and tools.Â
Experience with Cisco CCW/Dell OSC/NetApp/HPE quote tools.Â

Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.Â
Professional communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Â
Minimum of 2-5 years of hands on experience in a data center setting required.Â
Extensive knowledge of one or more of the following data center solutions: storage, networking, Compute, virtualization, data center management / automation, and security.Â
