Pay rate: $77.00 - $77.21/hr
Work schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST (40.0 hours/week; flex availability starting at 7:00 AM CST required periodically for European team alignment)
1-year+ contract through Dec 31, 2027
Overview
The Agile Innovation Manager joins a cross-functional agile pod within the Disruptive Innovation team to lead physical product innovation, commercialization, and manufacturing readiness. Embedded alongside R&D, Packaging, Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, and Strategy leads, this position enables fit-for-purpose agile methodologies, manages project timelines, and ensures on-time execution of food and beverage products. The role facilitates sprint rituals, manages backlogs, removes operational bottlenecks, and aligns technical constraints (machinery timelines, packaging adjustments, formula changes, supply chain readiness) with commercial launch goals.
Job Specifications
- Lead agile ceremonies and sprint rituals, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, sprint reviews, and backlog refinement
- Manage end-to-end physical product commercialization timelines from concept to market launch, adapting schedules to accommodate project uncertainty and rapid changes
- Partner with Pod Leads, Marketing, R&D, Packaging, and Supply Chain to ensure alignment on manufacturing capabilities, factory engineering, line modifications, and supply chain constraints
- Identify, track, and eliminate operational, resource, or technical impediments affecting pod velocity and launch deadlines
- Track key agile metrics (CSat, team maturity, capacity, velocity) and maintain transparent documentation of sprint goals, risks, and backlog items
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field required
- 5+ years of project management, agile leadership, or Scrum Master experience within the Food & Beverage industry required (non-negotiable; MUST focus on physical product commercialization, NOT digital)
- 2+ years of experience leading agile ceremonies and sprint-based delivery models required
- Hands-on experience with physical product development, packaging changes, factory engineering, machinery timelines, or supply chain innovation delivery required
- Strong cross-functional facilitation, timeline management, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills required
- Supplier Submittal Limit: Maximum 3 candidate submissions per supplier.
- Interview Process: Multiple-round interview process with hiring leadership (Olivia Martin, Daniela de Oliveira, Vini Damaceno) via Video or In-Person for local Chicago candidates.
- Conversion Planning: Direct-hire conversion is not currently planned.
