Perception Software Engineering Internship

AGEO Autonomy develops autonomous vehicle and robotics technology for demanding real-world environments, including agricultural and industrial applications. Our work is built for demanding real-world use, where perception, reliability, and practical software tools make a measurable difference in how autonomous systems operate.

In this internship, you will contribute to perception software efforts that support commercial-grade autonomous machines and collaborate closely with the autonomy team. The role is centered on building software and analysis capabilities that help teams interpret sensor data and better understand the environment around vehicles and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop software for processing point clouds.
• Extract useful measurements from perception data.
• Perform volumetric analysis to support environment understanding.
• Work with data from sensors such as LiDARs and cameras.
• Build tools that help the autonomy and operations teams better understand the environment around vehicles and equipment.

• 3rd- or 4th-year college students in computer engineering, mechatronics, or computer science.
• Candidate must be a student throughout the whole internship period.
• Familiar with cameras and LiDAR data (for example, images and point clouds).
• Familiar with both PCL and OpenCV.
• Fluency with Ubuntu/Linux, ROS, and C++ is a nice to have.
