The Brisbane Heritage team collaborates closely with our Townsville and Sydney heritage teams to assist clients in delivering major projects while conserving significant heritage values. Our projects span all Australian states and territories, encompassing Aboriginal, historical, and natural heritage management. We operate both in the office and in the field, including remote areas, serving major clients in the Defence, transport, rail, and renewable energy sectors. Our team provides specialist advice in lithic analysis, Aboriginal consultation, historical archaeology, built heritage, and heritage interpretation.
We are looking for a Heritage Specialist Intern to join our team in Brisbane.
How youâll make a difference:
- Support the planning, logistics, and delivery of heritage field survey programs under supervision.
- Assist with heritage assessments and help prepare reports in accordance with State and Commonwealth legislation.
- Manage spatial data and prepare maps with guidance to ensure accuracy and consistency.

- Bachelorâs Degree: You must be in your penultimate year of a Bachelor's or Postgraduate degree in Archaeology, Heritage, or a related field, with knowledge of lithic analysis and familiarity with GIS systems.
- Commencement:âŻAble to work full time hours from mid November 2026 â mid February 2027.Â
- Working Rights:You must have full working rights to work in Australia or New Zealand before applying. We do accept candidates with student and graduate visas.
