Advance Software Engineer

Requisition #: TLS-26-039 | Clearance: Active DoD Secret (US citizenship required) | Level: Principal | Experience: 12+ years | Education: Master's | Work site: Redstone Arsenal – Huntsville, AL (on-site)

What you'll do:

• Provide technical and engineering analysis to support development of on-demand and cloud-based software for system-of-systems development, integration, and testing

Required qualifications:

• Active Secret clearance

• Master's degree in a STEM field with 12+ years working on missile-defense-related or other complex, large DoD programs/projects

• Design, development, and management of software libraries and cloud-based software architectures and requirements

• Experience in hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) and cloud-based testing to support software development and delivery

• Experience in management and review of application programming interfaces (APIs), interface control documents (ICDs), and enabling software used in cloud-based and HWIL environments

• Experience in artificial intelligence development and tooling and agentic operations

• Ability to work independently, as a team member, or leading teams/tasks, applying engineering rigor to solve engineering/scientific problems

Preferred qualifications:

• Cloud & containerization — practical experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure and migrating legacy enterprise applications to cloud-native architectures

• Agile & DevSecOps — strong working knowledge of Agile and Lean software development within a secure DevSecOps framework

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) — Terraform, Ansible for reproducible, auditable, secure cloud environments

• Modern configuration management and version control (e.g., Git) to enforce policy-as-code, baseline management, and compliance

• Top Secret clearance or the ability to qualify for one
