Backend Engineer – Azure, .NET & Hybrid Integrations (m/f/d)

About the Role

We are looking for2 experienced Mid/Senior Backend Engineers to join an existing enterprise team and support the operation, stabilization, and further development of an Azure-based backend receiving component within a hybrid system landscape.

The role is focused on strengthening an existing team with strongAzure,.NET, andintegration know-how. It combines hands-on backend engineering with support for system stability, scalability, and technical evolution in a business-critical environment.

This isnot a classic managed service setup, but rather afull-time engineering contribution within an existing team, working during regular business hours.

 

Responsibilities

• Join and strengthen an existing engineering team with hands-on expertise inAzure backend development andhybrid integrations
• Support the operation, stabilization, and continuous enhancement of a backend receiving component running in the central Azure tenant
• Contribute to the further development of the component based on functional and technical requirements
• Analyze and resolve technical issues related to system stability, interfaces, and scaling behavior
• Design, implement, and maintain backend services usingC# / .NET technologies
• Work withAzure services, especiallyAzure Functions andAzure Event Hub, in a production-oriented enterprise environment
• Design and implementREST APIs and contribute to API publishing and API management topics
• Collaborate on adjacent interfaces and connected components across ahybrid cloud / on-premise landscape
• Support monitoring, troubleshooting, and observability using tools such asPrometheus, Grafana, and Splunk
• Work closely with internal stakeholders and team members to ensure stable operation and scalable system behavior
• Contribute to documentation, knowledge transfer, and onboarding activities as needed

• Strong professional experience inbackend software engineering withC# / .NET
• Solid hands-on experience withmodern .NET in Azure cloud environments
• Proven experience withMicrosoft Azure, especially:
  • Azure Functions
  • Azure Event Hub
• Strong experience inREST API design and implementation
• Good knowledge ofAPI Management,API Gateway, and publishing APIs in enterprise environments
• Experience withmonitoring and observabilitysolutions, ideally including:
  • Prometheus
  • Grafana
  • Splunk
• Strong understanding ofhybrid system landscapes, including cloud and on-premise integrations
• Ability to work effectively in an existing team structure and contribute in a hands-on, delivery-oriented way
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in complex enterprise environments

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience withon-premise enterprise systems and connected application landscapes
• Good knowledge of.NET Framework in addition to modern .NET
• Experience with enterprise integration scenarios and interface-heavy backend systems
• Experience in stabilizing and scaling existing backend solutions
• Ability to quickly onboard into an existing architecture with support from internal experts and knowledge transfer
