To support our growth and further strengthen our delivery capabilities, we are looking for aFreelance Project Manager who can drive impactful results across our projects.

About the role

As aProject Manager within the Software Engineering Practice, you will be responsible for the successful end-to-end delivery of software development projects. You operate at the intersection of business and technology, ensuring teams remain focused, efficient, and aligned with project goals.

You play a key role in ensuring quality, timelines, and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end software development projects

  • Define and managescope, planning, budget, and risks

  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (developers, QA, architects, etc.)

  • Manage stakeholders (clients, internal teams, and management)

  • Facilitate Agile processes (Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid approaches)

  • Identify and mitigate risks and issues proactively

  • Report on progress, quality, and deliverables

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of delivery processes within the practice

Your profile

  • 5–10 years of experience as a Project Manager in IT/software development

  • Proven experience withAgile and hybrid delivery methodologies

  • Strong affinity with software engineering (cloud, APIs, microservices, etc.)

  • Experience in consultancy or enterprise environments

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Hands-on, pragmatic, and results-driven mindset

  • Fluent in one of the national languages (Dutch orFrench) and passive knowledge of the other national language

  • Fluent inEnglish

  • Certifications such asPMP, Prince2, or Scrum Master

Nice to have

  • Experience withAzure, AWS, or other cloud platforms

  • Technical background in software development
