We are amidst a substantial expansion spanning Canada, the US, and beyond into the global market. To fortify this growth, we are in search of a proficient HR Business Partner - US Operations. This role will be responsible for various HR activities to support people and culture development at Activate Games across Store Operations across the US. The incumbent in this role will have key responsibilities in employee relations, performance management, recruitment and selection, policy implementation, training and development, and special projects as required. Â

Essential Job Functions
Performance and Employee Development
- Provide advice and guidance to Store Operations Leaders for all areas of HR including employee relations, employee development, policy compliance, recruitment, and trainingÂ
- Act as a cultural champion to promote an agile performance driven environment where all team members are encouraged to pursue and realize their full potentialÂ
- Lead and resolve workplace investigations as required while adhering to company standards and complying with applicable laws and regulationsÂ
- Work closely with employees and management to coordinate the workplace claims process Â
- Support Health & Safety initiatives, recommend and implement disability management practices, accessibility and the accommodation processesÂ
- Coach and develop the Operations team on performance expectations, action plans for development, career growth, and learning opportunitiesÂ
Policy AdministrationÂ
- Ensure policy compliance within US regions Activate operates, by reviewing and adapting policies, and delivering policy coaching and/or training Â
- Assist in development and implementation of HR policies, programs, and initiativesÂ
- Update current policies and procedures on a regular basis based on given informationÂ
- Aid in creating and implementing a long-term Human Resource vision, strategy, and tactics in alignment with organizational objectivesÂ
- Utilize data to identify trends and diagnose organizational effectiveness issuesÂ
Talent Acquisition
- Partner with hiring leads to support and facilitate talent sourcing and acquisition including creating job descriptions, posting available positions, interviewing, and onboardingÂ
- Provide guidance and support to collaborators to enable successful hiring and selection of staff for Activate store locationsÂ
- Track efficiencies of the hiring process; measure success of candidate hiring processÂ
- Use HRIS system to effectively manage the hiring process and candidate poolÂ
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Human Resource Management or related fieldÂ
- 5+ years of related HR work experienceÂ
- Excellent verbal and written communication skillsÂ
- In depth experience with multiple states employment requirements including California employmentÂ
- Proven ability to conduct thorough workplace investigationsÂ
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and managing relationshipsÂ
- Quick learner, creative, self-motivated and detail-orientedÂ
- Strong ability to multi-task and manage conflicting prioritiesÂ
- Experience adapting to new technologies, with hands-on experience across HRIS systems, Microsoft Office, and SharePointÂ
- Highly motivated with the ability to multi-task and manage conflicting prioritiesÂ
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the timeÂ
