We are seeking aMaterials Scientist with hands-on experience inpharmaceuticals, API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient), and small molecule testing for drug production to support drug development programs through advanced solid-state and particle characterization.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform solid-state characterization of pharmaceutical small molecules using techniques such asXRPD, DSC, TGA, microscopy, spectroscopy, and moisture sorption analysis.
• Execute and supportpolymorph, salt, co-crystal, and crystallization screening studies for API development projects.
• Conductparticle and powder characterization, including particle size, shape, surface energy, and surface morphology analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams inMedicinal Chemistry, Formulation Development, Biopharmaceutics, and Materials Science to support solid-form selection and clinical development activities.
• Analyze experimental data, troubleshoot scientific challenges, and provide technical recommendations to project teams.
• Maintain accurate documentation and data records within electronic laboratory notebook systems.
• Contribute to innovative materials science approaches and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of industry experience or Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Required: Strong experience inpharmaceutical, API, and small molecule testing supporting drug production and development.
• Hands-on experience with solid-state characterization techniques includingXRPD, PLM, DSC, TGA, FTIR, Raman, and related analytical methods.
• Strong data analysis, interpretation, and problem-solving skills related tosolid-state chemistry, particle characterization, and pharmaceutical materials science.
• Understanding of physical, analytical, and organic chemistry principles.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills with the ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience withSSNMR, NIR spectroscopy, or programming/data analysis tools is a plus.
