Our Values

Best Life

We believe great work begins with great people. That’s why our culture is built on respect, trust, and belonging. We create an inclusive environment where every team member can bring their authentic self to work—because diverse perspectives drive innovation and meaningful impact.

Growth Mindset

We are doers, thinkers, and dreamers. At ABC Fitness, your growth is our investment. Through continuous learning, mentorship, and professional development opportunities, we empower you to reach new heights—personally and professionally.

One Team

From day one, you’ll be part of a team that collaborates, celebrates, and cares. We move fast, support one another, and have fun along the way. Because when you thrive, we all thrive.

What You Will Own

Gym, Studio, and Enterprise product engineering

You will lead engineering for the products and platforms that support the operational needs of gyms, studios, and enterprise fitness operators. You will ensure teams have clear ownership, sound technical direction, and strong execution across staff-facing workflows, platform capabilities, integrations, and enterprise account needs.

You will be accountable for ensuring these platforms are reliable, scalable, secure, and positioned to support the evolving needs of ABC Fitness customers.

AI-enabled SDLC transformation

You will lead the AI-enabled transformation of software development lifecycle practices within the Gym, Studio, and Enterprise engineering organization. In partnership with the VP focused on engineering enablement, peer VPs, and senior technical leaders, you will help your teams adopt shared tools, practices, and operating models that improve productivity, quality, delivery predictability, documentation, testing, release management, and production support.

This role is not limited to tool rollout. It requires helping teams evolve how they plan, build, test, release, measure, and continuously improve software using AI responsibly and effectively.

Global engineering leadership

You will lead a globally distributed engineering organization with team members across North America, Brazil, Europe, and India. You will establish leadership systems, communication practices, planning rhythms, and operating models that keep teams aligned across time zones, cultures, and product areas.

You will be responsible for building clarity, trust, accountability, and shared context across distributed teams while ensuring leaders and engineers remain connected to ABC Fitness priorities and customer outcomes.

You will also work closely with the CTO and other leaders across ABC Fitness to strengthen collaboration, align engineering practices, and build a successful team within your portfolio and across the broader ABC Fitness organization.

Operational excellence, reliability, and quality

You will be accountable for improving the operational health of the systems in your portfolio. This includes reliability, observability, incident response, release quality, regression discipline, service ownership, and production support practices.

You will create mechanisms to identify recurring customer and operational pain, prioritize systemic fixes, and reduce the need for repeated escalations. You will help teams build a culture of ownership where quality, reliability, and maintainability are treated as core product outcomes.

Platform modernization and technical health

You will lead modernization efforts across current and legacy platforms, balancing customer commitments with long-term architectural improvement. You will help teams make pragmatic technical decisions, reduce technical debt, simplify integrations, and improve the scalability and maintainability of ABC Fitness platforms.

You will work with architecture, security, infrastructure, and product leaders to ensure the portfolio has the technical foundations needed to support growth, enterprise needs, and future product innovation.

Talent, culture, and leadership development

You will lead, coach, and develop engineering directors, managers, architects, and senior technical leaders. You will create clarity around roles, responsibilities, decision-making, and accountability across the organization.

You will be responsible for organizational design, talent planning, hiring, succession planning, performance management, and leadership development. You will build a culture that values ownership, collaboration, technical excellence, customer focus, inclusion, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering across the Gym, Studio, and Enterprise product areas, including Ignite, Glofox, API platforms, and staff-facing operational experiences for clubs and studios.
  • Own technical strategy, delivery execution, operational excellence, and engineering culture for the portfolio.
  • Partner with Product and business leadership to define measurable customer, business, and operational outcomes.
  • Translate company priorities into clear engineering plans, investment choices, sequencing decisions, and execution rhythms.
  • Drive AI-enabled SDLC adoption across the Gym, Studio, and Enterprise engineering organization, partnering with the engineering enablement VP and peer leaders to roll out shared practices, support team transition, and improve productivity, quality, and operating discipline.
  • Lead and develop a globally distributed engineering organization across North America, Brazil, Europe, and India.
  • Improve delivery predictability, product quality, platform reliability, security posture, and operational efficiency.
  • Drive modernization of legacy and current platforms, APIs, integrations, and staff-facing operational systems.
  • Strengthen engineering operating rhythms, including planning, execution, dependency management, incident response, release readiness, and portfolio-level reporting.
  • Partner with Customer Success, Support, and enterprise stakeholders to understand customer pain, resolve escalations, and prioritize systemic improvements.
  • Build, coach, and develop engineering leaders, creating strong succession plans and clear accountability across the organization.
  • Promote scalable communication practices, strong cross-functional alignment, and consistent execution across distributed teams.
  • Represent engineering in executive discussions, product planning, customer conversations, and strategic transformation initiatives.

Experience

Must Have

  • Engineering Leadership: 10+ years of software engineering leadership experience, including experience leading multiple teams, multiple product areas, or a large engineering portfolio.
  • Executive Experience: Experience as a VP, Senior Director, or equivalent engineering leader in a SaaS, enterprise software, platform, commerce, payments, fitness technology, or complex multi-product environment.
  • Organizational Transformation: Proven ability to lead engineering organizations through scale, modernization, operational improvement, and organizational transformation.
  • Global Team Leadership: Experience leading globally distributed engineering teams across multiple regions and time zones.
  • Technical Judgment: Strong technical judgment across architecture, APIs, cloud platforms, integrations, reliability, security, quality, and engineering productivity.
  • Outcome Orientation: Experience partnering with Product and business leaders to translate strategy into measurable outcomes and executable engineering plans.
  • Operational Excellence: Demonstrated ability to improve delivery predictability, operational discipline, platform reliability, and product quality.
  • Talent Development: Experience leading leaders, developing senior technical and management talent, and building high-performing engineering cultures.
  • Change Leadership: Ability to drive change across teams and influence peers without relying solely on direct reporting authority.
  • Executive Communication: Strong executive communication skills with the ability to communicate portfolio health, risks, trade-offs, and technical strategy clearly.
  • Strategic Execution: Ability to balance strategic leadership with operational accountability and hands-on problem solving when needed.

Nice to Have

  • Fitness Technology: Experience with fitness, wellness, membership management, billing, payments, commerce, CRM, or club / studio management platforms.
  • Staff-Facing Systems: Experience supporting operational systems used by business staff to manage day-to-day workflows.
  • Enterprise Customer Needs: Experience supporting enterprise customers with complex integration needs, account-specific requirements, SLAs, escalations, and platform dependencies.
  • API Platforms: Experience with API platform strategy, integration ecosystems, or enterprise platform capabilities.
  • Platform Modernization: Experience modernizing legacy platforms while continuing to deliver customer-facing roadmap commitments.
  • SDLC Improvement: Experience improving SDLC practices through AI-assisted engineering, automation, CI/CD, testing strategy, developer tooling, or platform engineering.
  • Global Delivery: Experience leading engineering teams across North America, Latin America, Europe, and India.
  • Transformation Environment: Experience operating in a private equity-backed, high-growth, or transformation-oriented software company.

Success in 12 Months

  • Outcome Alignment: Engineering teams are aligned to clear customer, business, and operational outcomes across the Gym, Studio, and Enterprise portfolio.
  • Portfolio Ownership: The Ignite, Glofox, API platform, and staff-facing operational experience teams have clear priorities, strong ownership, and improving delivery predictability.
  • AI-Enabled Adoption: AI-enabled SDLC practices are adopted within the Gym, Studio, and Enterprise engineering organization in practical, measurable ways that improve productivity, quality, testing, documentation, release confidence, and operational support.
  • Global Team Effectiveness: Global teams across North America, Brazil, Europe, and India operate with strong alignment, clear communication, and consistent execution rhythms.
  • Customer Impact: Customer-impacting issues are reduced through improved quality practices, better observability, stronger ownership, and systemic fixes.
  • Platform Health: Platform reliability, scalability, security, and maintainability improve over time.
  • Cross-Functional Trust: Product, Customer Success, Support, Security, Infrastructure, and business partners view Engineering as transparent, outcome-oriented, and accountable.
  • Leadership Depth: Engineering leaders are growing, teams are engaged, and the organization has stronger leadership depth and succession coverage.
  • Technical Health: Technical debt and modernization priorities are clearly understood, sequenced, and actively addressed.
  • Enterprise Confidence: Enterprise customers experience improved confidence in ABC Fitness platforms, integrations, responsiveness, and operational stability.

What We Value

  • Outcomes over outputs: We focus on measurable customer, business, and operational outcomes, not just shipped features or completed projects. Success means improving the experience for gyms, studios, enterprise operators, and the staff who rely on our platforms every day.
  • Systems over heroics: We build durable teams, platforms, and operating rhythms that scale globally. We value reliability, repeatability, and thoughtful execution over last-minute saves or dependence on a few key individuals.
  • Clarity over complexity: We make priorities, ownership, architecture, and tradeoffs clear. If a system, plan, or decision is too complex to explain, it is probably too complex to operate effectively.
  • Transformation with discipline: We embrace AI-enabled SDLC adoption and new ways of working, but we do so responsibly, measurably, and with clear support for teams through the transition.
  • Global alignment over local optimization: We lead as one engineering organization across North America, Brazil, Europe, and India. We value communication, shared context, and operating practices that help distributed teams stay aligned and effective.
  • Trust with accountability: We create psychological safety through transparency, blameless learning, and respectful challenge while maintaining high standards for ownership, quality, and follow-through.
  • High standards without ego: We believe strong leadership raises the bar while strengthening trust. We value direct communication, respectful challenge, humility, and accountability, creating an environment where teams can do their best work together.
