WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Slate is hiring energetic, safety-focused, and detail-oriented individuals to join our manufacturing and production team at our Warsaw, IN facility as we build the next generation of American-made trucks. This is a general interest posting: we're connecting with candidates across a range of production roles — including assembly, fabrication, paint, quality, material handling/logistics, and general labor — as our Warsaw facility ramps up hiring. Recruiters at the job fair will help match your background and interests to current and upcoming openings. General Production team members report to their assigned Production or Team Supervisor.

WORK AUTHORIZATION REQUIREMENT:

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis. We are unable to offer visa sponsorship at this time.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO:

• Assembly & Production: Perform assigned assembly, fabrication, or production tasks according to work instructions and quality standards.

• Quality Checks: Inspect parts and completed work to ensure it meets Slate's build and safety standards, flagging defects for correction.

• Material Handling: Move, stage, and stock parts and materials to keep the production line running smoothly.

• Equipment Operation: Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and production equipment as trained and certified.

• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, wear required PPE, and help maintain a clean, hazard-free work area.

• Team Collaboration: Work closely with teammates, team leads, and supervisors to hit daily production targets.

• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve process efficiency, quality, and safety, and speak up when something isn't working.

• Documentation: Complete required production paperwork, checklists, and quality logs accurately.

• Flexibility: Be willing to rotate across stations or shifts as business needs require.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM:

Experience & Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.

• Prior experience in manufacturing, automotive, warehouse, or production environments preferred, but not required — we provide on-the-job training.

• Ability to read and follow written work instructions, safety guidelines, and quality standards.

Skills & Attributes

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

• Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs, and work on your feet for extended periods.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented production environment.

• Reliable, punctual, and safety-minded.

• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including overtime as needed.

• Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power tools is a plus.

• Positive attitude and eagerness to learn new skills.
