CVS Heath seeking a highly experienced and innovative Principal Solution Engineer for the PCW Solution Engineering team at CVS Health. The Principal Solutions Engineer will collaborate with and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement and support technical solutions. This role is expected to carry a passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities and mentoring other members of the engineering community. A firm understanding of development principles, agile methodologies and knowledge of pharmacy processing is crucial for success in the role. You should have the ability to prioritize well, communicate clearly, have a consistent track record of delivery and excellent software engineering skills. A successful candidate will be a highly motivated, collaborative individual; motivated to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Responsibilities:
- Analyze project and application requirements
- Design system, multi-system, and enterprise-wide application solutions
- Code when necessary (this is a "hand-on" role)
- Evaluate, propose, and develop solutions to technical challenges
- Broader vision of Pharmacy Systems and propose solution that will benefit the business
- Consider business outcome when designing solutions
- Contribute to annual road map reviews and updates charting the path for the technology
- Leverage Design Patterns to solve recurring development functions
- Collaborate with other architects to develop integrated systems with common principles
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to develop standards that can be used throughout the enterprise
- Generate new System Architectural Design documents and support the modifications of existing ones
- Maintain awareness of Enterprise technology standards and their direction
- Maintain system designs (e.g. diagrams, connection points, interfaces, etc.)
- Evaluate and/or review the impact of changes on application performance and platform capacity

Required Qualifications:
- 10+ of experience in one or more programming languages like Java, Python, Go, Node.js or microservices/containerization
- 5+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service, cloud optimization, security, performance and cost efficiencies
- 5+ years of experience in Database Technologies like Oracle, Mongo, Redis, PostgreSQL

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience building and deploy services using Gradle, Maven, Jenkins, GitHubActions etc. as part of CI/CD process
- Familiarity with frontend technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript and modern libraries and frameworks such as React, Angular etc for Web and Mobile
- Contributions to open-source projects or involvement in developer communitiesÂ
- Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving complex technical challengesÂ
- Skilled in working effectively across different teams and departments, building strong relationships and driving collective successÂ

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or, equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$144,200.00 - $288,400.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.Â
