Position Summary

As anAutomation Digital Product Manager within the Automation Center of Excellence, you will lead theend-to-end delivery of automation opportunities, from intake and discovery through deployment and continuous optimization.

This role is accountable forowning intake, feasibility assessment, roadmap development, backlog prioritization, and delivery execution, while ensuring strong alignment with business objectives. You will partner closely with business stakeholders tounderstand their operating models, core processes, challenges, and pain points, and translate those insights into a prioritized and sustainable pipeline of automation opportunities.

You will also play a critical role innurturing business relationships, proactively expanding the automation portfolio, and ensuring continuous value delivery to business organizations through automation and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities

Business Engagement & Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders across supported organizations

  • Act as atrusted partner and advisor, deeply understanding business needs and priorities

  • Proactivelynurture business relationships to grow the automation backlog and expand impact

  • Identify opportunities todrive additional value through automation and process improvements

  • Regularly engage stakeholders to align on priorities, roadmap, and delivery progress

Intake, Discovery & Opportunity Identification

  • Leadintake and feasibility efforts by engaging with business stakeholders to:

    • Understandcore processes, workflows, and operating models

    • Identifypain points, inefficiencies, and challenges

  • Identify and shapenew automation opportunities aligned to business needs

  • Build and documentend-to-end process workflows and process maps

  • Define and document:

    • Problem statements

    • Scope of automation

    • Business requirements and expected outcomes

  • Developbusiness case value, including efficiency gains, cost savings, and operational impact

Automation Roadmap & Prioritization

  • Partner with business stakeholders toshape and manage automation roadmaps for supported business groups

  • Evaluate andprioritize opportunities based on value, complexity, and strategic alignment

  • Own and manage theopportunity pipeline and product backlog

  • Lead backlog refinement to ensure readiness and clarity for development

End-to-End Opportunity Delivery Ownership

  • Own and manage thefull lifecycle of automation opportunities, from intake through delivery and post-production support

  • Develop detaileddelivery plans, including:

    • Timelines and milestones

    • Resource planning andhours allocation

  • Perform and validateeffort estimates across requirements, development, and testing

  • Track and reportstatus, progress, risks, and outcomes to leadership (LT) and business stakeholders

  • Proactivelyidentify, manage, and resolve risks, dependencies, and blockers to ensure successful delivery

Requirements & Product Management

  • Leadrequirements gathering in close partnership with business teams

  • Translate requirements intouser stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications

  • Ownbacklog management, prioritization, and refinement

  • Facilitateuser story reviews and secure business sign-off prior to development handoff

  • Ensure clear, structuredhandoff of requirements to technical teams

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate withengineering, architecture, automation SMEs, and business teams to drive delivery

  • Serve as thebridge between business and technical teams, ensuring alignment and clarity

  • Manage dependencies across cross-functional teams

Automation Performance & Continuous Improvement

  • Define and trackKPIs and success metrics to measure automation value

  • Conductpost-implementation reviews to assess outcomes and identify enhancements

  • Leadcontinuous improvement efforts, including:

    • Process optimization initiatives

    • Creating enablement materials (e.g., demo videos, walkthroughs)

    • Supporting adoption and knowledge sharing

Innovation & Emerging Technology Enablement

  • Contribute to solutions leveraging:

    • Artificial Intelligence (AI)

    • Agentic automation frameworks

    • Robotic Process Automation (RPA)

    • Web-based applications

  • Utilizeprompting tools and AI techniques for analysis, day to day activities and solution support

  • Apply hands-on experience with modern AI tools, such as:

    • Microsoft Copilot and Copilot Studio

    • GitHub Copilot

    • Claude and other large language model–based tools

    • Emerging AI platforms and productivity tools

  • Support innovation initiatives and experimentation with new technologies

Domain Expertise Development

  • Build and maintaindeep knowledge of supported business domains and processes

  • Act as asubject matter expert and strategic advisor to business stakeholders

  • Continuously enhance understanding of industry trends and automation best practices

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience inin Product Management, Product Ownership, and Project Management

  • Proven ability to manageend-to-end lifecycle of automation or digital products

  • Strong expertise in:

    • Process analysis andbusiness discovery

    • Requirements gathering and documentation

    • Backlog prioritization and roadmap management

    • Agile/Scrum methodologies

  • Hands-on experience with:

    • RPA solutions

    • AI and intelligent automation technologies

    • Web application delivery

  • Experience working with modern AI tools such as:

    • Copilot, Copilot Studio, GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar tools

  • Experience with tools such asAzure DevOps, JIRA, or similar

  • Stronganalytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills

  • Excellentcommunication and influencing skills, including executive-level reporting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience withagentic AI or advanced automation frameworks

  • Strongprocess mapping and data analysis capabilities (e.g., Power BI)

  • Certifications inAgile, Business Analysis, or RPA platforms

  • Experience inhealthcare, pharmacy benefits management (PBM), or similar industries

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree inComputer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field

  • Master’s degree or MBA preferred

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$92,700.00 - $185,400.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
