HSE Projects Manager

Lead HSE across complex construction projects, influence senior stakeholders and build a high-performing safety team.

Sodexo is looking for an experiencedHSE Projects Manager to take a leadership role across our construction project portfolio.

Based inPerth with regular travel to remote sites, this is an opportunity for an experienced HSE leader with a strongconstruction and EPCM background to step into a highly visible role, leading a team of HSE professionals and partnering with operational leaders, clients, contractors and project teams.

You’ll be at the forefront of how HSE is embedded into project delivery, from mobilisation and construction through to assurance and continuous improvement. More than compliance, this role is aboutinfluencing the way projects operate, strengthening critical controls and creating a safety culture that delivers results.

What you’ll be responsible for

Leading a team of approximately four to five HSE professionals, you will:

• Lead HSE across construction projects, ensuring safety is embedded throughout mobilisation and project delivery
• Partner withproject leaders, clients, contractors and operational teams to manage HSE requirements and influence positive safety outcomes
• Provide leadership acrosshigh-risk construction activities, risk assessments and critical control management
• Drive HSE assurance throughsite inspections, audits, investigations and performance reviews
• Ensure alignment withWHS legislation, ISO standards, client requirements and Sodexo HSEQ systems
• Lead and supportincident investigations, identifying trends and translating learnings into practical improvements
• Strengthensafety leadership and behavioural safety, coaching leaders and teams to build accountability at every level
• Lead HSE requirements fornew project and site mobilisations
• Monitor HSEQ performance and provide meaningful insights and recommendations to senior leadership
• Build capability across project teams throughcoaching, training and workforce competency initiatives

What will set you up for success

We’re looking for an established HSE professional who understands the realities of delivering safety outcomes withincomplex construction and project environments.

You’ll ideally bring:

• Significant experience in asenior HSE/HSEQ leadership role within construction, resources or a similarly high-risk environment
• Demonstrated experience supporting thedelivery of construction projects
• Experience leading or developingHSE professionals and site teams
• Demonstrated capability acrossrisk management, critical controls, auditing and incident investigation
• The confidence to influence a broad stakeholder group, from frontline teams and contractors through toclients and senior leadership
• Strong communication and reporting skills, with the ability to turn HSE data and trends into meaningful action
• The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities within a changing operational environment
• Flexibility to undertakeregular travel to remote sites, including supporting project mobilisations when required

• EPCMexperience and a strongconstructionbackground
• Strong working knowledge ofAustralian WHS legislation and relevant ISO standards
