About the Company

Our client is a leading federal services contractor specializing in complex military construction projects for government clients. The organization delivers large-scale projects in demanding environments with a strong focus on safety, quality, schedule, and project execution.

The company is seeking an experiencedProject Manager to join a major project inDarwin, Australia and play a key role in delivering large-scale infrastructure work for a federal client.

About the Position

TheProject Manager will oversee one of three major projects and manage day-to-day execution through all phases of the project lifecycle, including startup, design and engineering, construction, change management, commissioning, closeout, and warranty.

Reporting to theProject Executive, the PM will serve as a key point of contact for the client and internal/external stakeholders while leading a large, multidisciplinary project team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage client relationships while protecting company interests.
  • Oversee design, engineering, construction, safety, quality, and scheduling functions.
  • Manage project financial activities, including accounts receivable and payable.
  • Negotiate and execute contracts and purchase orders with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Lead weekly and monthly project meetings with project stakeholders.
  • Ensure contractual and administrative requirements are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Identify and secure resources necessary for successful project execution.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication across the project team.
  • Support successful project delivery through commissioning, closeout, and warranty.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as directed by the Project Executive or Division President.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree inEngineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field required.
  • 12+ years of total construction experience, including at least5 years as a Project Manager on heavy civil infrastructure projects valued at$50M+.
  • DOD, USACE, or NAVFAC experience required.
  • Experience managing large, multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Strong understanding of heavy civil construction and federal project requirements.
  • Advanced degree (MBA/MS) or professional certification/registration such asPMP or PE preferred.
  • Fluent English communication skills required.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office;Primavera P6 experience preferred.
  • Ability to successfully pass required background and security checks.
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately50% to Darwin, Australia.
