This environment offers exposure to a variety of imaging services and patient populations, including emergency , inpatient and outpatient imaging, as well as surgical and minimally invasive procedural services These opportunities allow technologists to strengthen their clinical expertise, develop confidence across a broad range of examinations, and continue growing within the field of medical imaging.

GENERAL SUMMARY: 

• Under general supervision, specializes in the performance of computerized tomographic radiological procedures on patients. 
• May perform general diagnostic radiology examinations. 
• Performs related duties as required. 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required. 
• Must maintain the required hours of continued education. 
• Healthcare Provider certification required. 
• (BCLS) BLS Provider obtained within one (1) month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. 
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. 

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: 

• One or more of the following: 
  • Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. 
  • NMTCB (CD Computed Tomography Specialty Certification or ARRT(CT) Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography required in addition to CNMT Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification. 
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. 
• Must be registered in Computer Tomography within 12 months of date of hire. 
• Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. 
• Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy specialty also accepted.
