The Opportunity with McKinstry

At McKinstry, we are at the forefront of the renewable energy revolution, building cutting-edge solar projects that power businesses and communities. We’re looking for aTraveling Superintendentto join our Essention division. This position will focus on larger, more complex projects, ensures project success through on-site management 
including safety compliance, client relationships, quality control, inspections, deliveries, commissioning, daily reporting, and installation subcontractors. Coordinate with project management to ensure project is completed to scope specification, within budget, and on schedule. Additionally, some responsibilities you will have include: 

  •  Lead all on-site construction activities for larger and more complex DER projects.
  • Enforce safety policies and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulations.
  • Manage subcontractors and ensure efficient workflow coordination.
  • Monitor project progress, resolving on-site issues as they arise.
  • Maintain detailed daily reports and communicate updates to project managers.
  • Execute quality control inspections.

     

What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry   

  • Must have demonstrated proficiency for all the responsibilities of a Superintendent. 
  • OSHA 30 certification required or must be obtained within 6 months of assuming  position.
  • Working knowledge of scheduling software: Microsoft Project, Primavera and/or  Suretrak required.
  • Knowledge of construction management, commercial building process, and OSHA  standards required.
  • Six (6) years of leadership of trades and job sites preferred.
  • BA/BS degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architecture or Facilities Management or equivalent work experience  preferred.
  • Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Project required; working knowledge of SharePoint preferred.

The pay range for this position is$102,780 - $154,260per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay information is based on market location. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
