Telecom Project Coordinator

Every fiber line Telecon builds ends at a home or business that will count on that connection for work, school, and staying in touch. In this role, you'll support every project manager on our design team, keeping projects moving. From loading new jobs into our systems to delivering finished design files to the customer. Telecom experience helps but isn't required. If you've kept a busy front desk, schedule, or office running, we'll teach you the industry and our systems.

Most of your day happens in Quickbase, P2/Sphere, and Microsoft Office. You'll log and close jobs, route reworks, flag delays early, and keep files clean enough that anyone could pick them up. Expect to switch between projects throughout the day and check in with project managers often to keep work on track.

This role fits someone who manages their own schedule, stays steady with customers when things get complicated, and jumps in when a teammate needs help. If you can drop one task for something urgent and pick the first back up without missing a detail, you'll do well here.

Quick Facts

  • Location: Remote, open to candidates living in the Mountain Time Zone
  • Wage: $18.00 – $21.00 per hour, with potential for overtime. Pay will meet or exceed the minimum wage that applies where the work is performed.
  • Shift/Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Mountain Time, plus 2-4 hours one Saturday per month

  • Process job setup, reworks, and close-out in Quickbase and P2/Sphere
  • Deliver completed design files to the customer
  • Track project progress and flag risks, delays, or issues that could affect timelines
  • Work with cross-functional teams to gather, document, and maintain project requirements
  • Keep internal teams and external stakeholders updated and respond to their questions
  • Keep project documentation, files, and records accurate and organized
  • Help improve project coordination processes and tools
  • Follow all policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Support weekend coverage, averaging 2 to 4 hours one Saturday per month, loading work the design team completes over the weekend
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience in an administrative, coordination, scheduling, or customer-facing role, such as front desk, reception, dispatch, or customer service

  • Strong organization and time management, with the ability to switch between multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and pick each back up without losing track
  • Strong customer service skills, including staying professional and solution-focused in difficult situations
  • High attention to detail and a focus on accuracy
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Solid problem-solving skills and sound judgment
  • Willingness to learn the telecommunications industry
  • Reliable and able to work independently in a remote setting
