Position Summary:  

The Dual Credit Coordinator plays a key role in supporting student success by leading the planning, delivery, and continuous improvement of Dual Credit programming across multiple campuses.

The Coordinator is responsible for the academic and operational delivery of Dual Credit, Adult Dual Credit, SWAC, OYAP, and related initiatives, supporting more than 1,400 high school students annually as they explore postsecondary education pathways. The role oversees enrolment planning, scheduling, staffing, budgeting, Ministry reporting, data management, and compliance activities while ensuring an exceptional student experience.

Working closely with school boards, academic areas, Ministry stakeholders, and consortium partners, the Coordinator builds strong relationships that support program growth, student engagement, and successful transitions to postsecondary education. This position also provides guidance to faculty, staff, and student ambassadors while driving outreach initiatives, events, and continuous improvement activities that advance student success.  

Regular collaboration with internal departments and external partners is part of this role.

This position is primarily based at Newnham Campus and currently involves an onsite presence of approximately 3 days per week, with occasional travel to other Seneca campuses and external partner locations.

A valid Ontario driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle are required.

Responsibilities:  

Operational Administration, Scheduling, & Training

  • Lead the planning, scheduling, and delivery of Dual Credit programming across multiple campuses, supporting more than 1,400 students annually.  
  • Oversee course scheduling, faculty assignments, classroom allocation, and enrolment planning to ensure effective program delivery and alignment with student demand.  
  • Provide leadership, training, and day-to-day guidance to faculty, support staff, and student ambassadors, fostering a collaborative and student-centred environment.  
  • Coordinate the recruitment, onboarding, and orientation of faculty and staff while supporting ongoing training and process improvements.  
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for operational, academic, and student-related matters, resolving complex issues and escalating concerns when appropriate.  
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with school boards, academic areas, and external stakeholders to support program growth and student success.  
  • Monitor student participation, attendance, academic progress, and service needs, connecting students with appropriate resources and supports.  
  • Lead the coordination of Dual Credit events, orientations, workshops, and experiential learning opportunities that enhance student engagement and transition to postsecondary education.  
  • Ensure compliance with Ministry guidelines, institutional policies, and reporting requirements while maintaining accurate program records and data.  
  • Use data, feedback, and enrolment trends to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and support informed operational decision-making.

 

Budget, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Manage program budgets, funding allocations, invoicing, and financial reporting to support effective stewardship of Ministry funding.  
  • Oversee student and program data collection, validation, and reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance with Ministry requirements.  
  • Monitor enrolment, retention, conversion, and student success metrics and provide recommendations to enhance program outcomes.  
  • Prepare funding proposals, reports, and analyses that support planning, accountability, and program growth.  
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure timely reporting, forecasting, and budget management.

 

Student Engagement & Partnerships

  • Lead the planning and execution of Dual Credit events, outreach activities, and student engagement initiatives across multiple campuses.  
  • Develop and implement communication and marketing strategies that support student recruitment, engagement, retention, and conversion.  
  • Collaborate with school boards, faculty, Student Services, and other partners to deliver high-impact programming and events.  
  • Oversee program communications, digital content, promotional materials, and student-facing resources to ensure consistent messaging and branding.  
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen awareness of Dual Credit programming and enhance the student experience through innovative outreach and partnership initiatives.

 

Qualifications:  

Education  

  • Minimum completed 3-year diploma / degree or equivalent in Business/Office Administration, Accounting, Finance, Social Sciences or a related field.  
  • Emphasis on analytical interpretation of statistical data, problem solving, computer skills, working with at-risk learners  

 

Experience  

  • 5 years of experience within an educational institution, community setting, and/or administrative/office environment, with a demonstrated progression of more complex roles over the career span.
  • Progressive experience providing administrative and academic coordination and support to ensure operational requirements and effectiveness.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of district school board and college organizational and operational structure.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the college system and at-risk students is preferred.

 

Skills  

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret statistical data and support informed decision-making.  
  • Demonstrated proficiency with technology and database systems, including Microsoft Office applications and enterprise platforms.  
  • Ability to support and engage diverse student populations, including learners requiring additional guidance and transition support.  
  • Broad knowledge of the Ontario college system and the ability to develop extensive knowledge of Seneca's programs, admissions processes, and financial aid offerings.  
  • In-depth understanding of transition programming and working knowledge of the provincially mandated Dual Credit program.  
  • Experience overseeing budgets and financial processes, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.  
  • Excellent organizational, planning, communication, presentation, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.  
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment, maintain confidentiality, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
