Brown & Brownis seeking a Sr. Claims Examiner to join our growing team inGarden City, NY.  

  

This position willbe responsible for the adjustment of all third-party liability losses as well as claims arising from General Liability and Commercial Auto Liability coverages. 

How You Will Contribute:  

  • Coverage assessment 

  • Investigate, evaluate, and bring to its disposition, all nonsuit and litigation claims 

  • Assure the proper reserving of all losses 

  • Participate in recognized safety/marketing programs 

  • Assign and manage the activities of independent adjusters and other vendors 

  • Work effectively with clients, brokers,attorneys and other departments 

  • Identify subrogation and risk transfer potential 

  • Prepare Substantive Claim Reports 

  • Reinsurance reporting 

  • Preparing comprehensive claim correspondence, including coverage position communications 

 

Skills & Experience to be Successful: 
Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or life experience 

  • At least five years of experience in handling general liability claims 

  • General Adjuster’s license in designated Home-State and able to be licensed in other States 

  • Good telephone demeanor 

  • Proficient use of a PC 

  • Valid driver’s license 

  • Occasional travel 

Pay Range

$80,000.00 - $100,000.00 Annual

The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourlyrate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
