As the Member Solutions (collections) Team Leader, you’ll have the opportunity to work on a team that impacts staff and members in direct and meaningful ways, each and every day! In this role you’ll oversee the daily department operations through forecasting and real-time management. You’ll be serving as a resource for handling complex and/or escalated member complaints If you have financial institution experience, and value servant-leadership, then we want to hear from you!

Your day may include:

Planning, overseeing, and directing the daily operations of a collections team
Leading the team to achieve personal and department performance goals
Successfully recovering service interactions with members. Ability to take on escalated issues from staff members. Following through with staff member to educate and share service recovery topics
Motivating, mentoring and coaching team members for success
Responsible for ensuring that member complaints and issues are handled in a timely and accurate manner
Ensuring regulation of financial regulations including FDCPA, FCRA, and SCRA
Seeking out, attending, and implementing ideas from training. Researching, promoting, and implementing new ideas, industry best practices, and process improvements
Organizing and prioritizing to ensure deadlines are met, quality work, and promptness and proficiency with which work is completed
Maintaining average of 85% per month on the Team Leaders scorecard
Coaching and hold staff accountable who are not achieving 85% on their individual scorecards
Performing regular huddles/blitz meetings to provide information and process changes. Conducting monthly Service Meetings to train or update staff on compliance, process, or department changes

What you bring to the team:

High school graduate or equivalent, or greater
Three (3) years or more of financial institution experience
Three (3) years or more of experience in collections within the financial services industry
Knowledge of FDCPA, FCRA, and FACT ACT regulations, and all applicable state and federal regulations
Three (3) years or more of experience in customer service
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Coaching/mentoring and team building experience
Sales training
Ability to work independently and as a team member
Strong, highly developed interpersonal skills and communication (written and verbal)
Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
Detail oriented, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Ability to lead, provide coaching, and motivate staff

Competitive pay:$32.18 - $48.27 per hour, dependent on relevant qualifications plus an annual discretionary incentive plan and benefits package

The range above allows our employees room for growth through annual merit and other pay increase during their tenure in the position.
The target range for qualified new hires is typically within the first half of the range. Actual offers will be based on individual qualifications relevant to the role and will not take an applicant’s pay history into account.

Where we’re located: 330 Union Ave, Olympia WA. Employee must reside and perform all work in the state of Washington. This is a work from home/hybrid position with the exception of occasional on-site training, meetings and specific organization events.

When you’d work:Monday–Friday, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm, full time minimum 40 hours per week, with scheduling flexibility required to meet business needs
