We're excited to offer a paid 2 year Traineeship in our Technology team. This a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working towards a nationally recognised qualification.

As a WSI Trainee, you’ll work alongside our amazing team in a supportive learning environment that integrates on-the-job practical experience and formal training.

The traineeship will elevate your level of skills, confidence and longer-term employability, plus you’ll be making a real contribution to the future of Sydney’s new airport in Sydney’s cultural heartland.

How it works:

You’ll commit to completing a Traineeship for a 2 year period, commencing Feb 2026.
The Traineeship is designed for students who have recently completed Year 12 or equivalent.
You’ll gain hands-on experience in an airport operations environment, supported by a structured learning pathway.
WSI will support your learning journey by integrating formal training with TAFE during the traineeship.
You’ll receivemembership to WSI’s Early Careers Network.
We’ll assign you a buddy/mentor to provide informal guidance and support throughout the Traineeship.

Key responsibilities:

As a Trainee in WSI's Technology team you'll play an important role in supporting effective and efficient Technology support across a broad range of activities, offering a high level of customer service to stakeholders.

You'll engage with stakeholder groups both internally & externally, to support activities that contribute towards a great customer experience aligned to WSI’s values.

You'll participate in a program designed to build your experience in Technology support, and you will be involved in many aspects of this important function that will entail:

Provide a great end user technology (EUT) customer experience with face-face and remote support including Windows devices, WSI Corporate applications, Meeting Rooms and other Technology used by WSI end users.
Perform Technology troubleshooting and problem resolution.
Use a range of tools and procedures to help support a cyber secure Technology environment.
Assist with the onboarding of new WSI team members and Technology asset management.
Help test concepts and procedures for Technology support.
Perform required tasks in relevant systems in order to provide support.
Recognise the importance of Technology in the Enterprise.

About you:

This is a great opportunity if you’re about to complete Year 12 (or equivalent) and are interested in a career in Technology:

A genuine passion for Technology, customer service and contributing to a positive team culture.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
Demonstrated professionalism and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
You’re self-starter with a proactive approach to tasks and a strong sense of initiative.
High attention to detail, checking all tasks for accuracy and quality, seeking improvements where possible.
Strong time management and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team.
You’ll need your own transport to attend our offices in Liverpool, Luddenham and Badgerys Creek.
