We’re looking for a detail-oriented planning or zoning expert to help us validate our zoning engine, challenge our assumptions, and advise on how to make land development faster and more accessible — without sacrificing compliance.

Responsibilities

Review zoning outputs generated by the platform and flag inconsistencies
Provide insights into how planners interpret edge cases (e.g., setbacks, conditional density)
Suggest how specific bylaws or overlays could be handled in logic models
Collaborate with product, data, and design teams on UX and zoning interpretation
(Optional) Assist with writing planning content, analysis templates, or explainer tools

Qualifications

Experience working in urban planning, zoning review, or development approvals
Strong knowledge of municipal bylaws, particularly in Canadian contexts (Vancouver a plus)
Comfortable reviewing zoning maps, development policies, and parsing complex text
Bonus: Experience with GIS, CAD, or zoning logic systems
Able to communicate clearly and provide structured feedback
