The Town of Farragut Board of Mayor and Aldermen is seeking qualified applicants to fill a vacant South Ward Alderman seat due to the passing of the previous Alderman. The appointed individual will serve until the next municipal election for the South Ward seat in August 2026, at which time the seat will be subject to election in accordance with the Town Charter, the Farragut Municipal Code and Tennessee Code Annotated.

The appointee will be required to take the oath of office prior to assuming official duties.

The appointed Alderman will serve until the next regular municipal election for the South Ward seat in August 2026.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

Be a resident of the Town of Farragut, reside in the South Ward, and maintained continuous residency in the South Ward for at least one year prior to the appointment. View the Farragut ward maphere.

Be a U.S. citizen and at least 18 years of age.

Be a registered voter in the Town of Farragut, specifically in the South Ward.

Not currently holding any other incompatible public office under Tennessee law.

Disclose any financial, employment, or personal conflicts of interest that could affect Board service.
