Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Business Accountant located in Lagos, Nigeria. While the role is based in Lagos, a mix of on-site and remote work is supported. The applicant should live on the Mainland (preferably Alimosho LGA) or its environs for easy access to the office location in Egbeda, Lagos. The Business Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, managing budgets, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and analyzing financial data to support business decision-making. The candidate will effectively collaborate with relevant departments to ensure the smooth execution of financial processes.

Qualifications

Strong accounting and bookkeeping skills, including creating financial reports and reconciling records
Budget management and financial forecasting expertise
Knowledge of financial regulations, tax laws, and compliance standards
Proficiency in financial software and tools
Analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret financial data and generate insights
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and in a hybrid environment
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, or ICAN are an advantage

NB: The candidate must be ready to resume in January, 2026.

Commuting & Location: Must be willing and able to commute daily to the office location.
Educational Background: Possession of aBachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field is a plus.
Proximity: Must reside withinAlimosho LGA or its immediate environs (e.g., Egbeda, Ikotun, Idimu, Igando, Isheri, Iyana-Ipaja, Akowonjo, or Ayobo).
Salary Alignment: Candidate must be comfortable with a monthly salary range of100,000 NGN to 150,000 NGN, based on experience.
Professional Experience: A minimum ofone year of hands-on accounting experience, with a proven ability to manage financial operations independently and with minimal supervision.
Personal Attributes: Must demonstrateuncompromising integrity and a meticulousattention to detail, with a firm commitment to maintaining high professional and ethical standards.
Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g.,QuickBooks, Sage, or Zoho) is required, specifically the ability to manage records and generate reports for multiple business units across diverse industries simultaneously.
