If so, the Principal Engineer role at Seer is right for you. **WHO WE ARE** Seer is a cloud-based SaaS solution revolutionizing the way retail salespeople personally engage with their customers and directly grow revenue. We’re a Y-Combinator backed startup and our customers are some of the largest and most well-known global retail brands. Our users depend on Seer to engage their customers with personalized and targeted communications. **THE ROLE** As the Principal Engineer, you will architect our platform strategy. You'll work on everything from developing new features, adding enhancements, troubleshooting bugs, and directly supporting our clients with technical issues. In addition to being deep in the code, we're looking for someone who is ready and eager to continue building and refining Seer’s well-loved product. You'll be responsible for: * Maintaining and evolving Seer’s front-end and back-end. * Ensuring technical compliance with Seer’s Agreements/Service Level Agreements (SLAs): triaging client tickets ASAP, building open, proactive, and transparent communication lines with clients, being the front-line manager for tech support and bug fixes. * Establishing conventions for code quality, review, and development. * Project Managing all Engineering Projects: creating project plans and timelines, delivering internal and external status updates, and managing Engineering ticket updates. **TECHNOLOGIES** * Vue.js: Progressive JavaScript Framework * React Native: Cross-platform Mobile App Development * Django (Python Web Framework) * Node.js (JavaScript Runtime Environment * GitHub Actions (Continuous Integration and Deployment) * EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) * CodeDeploy (Deployment Service) * S3 (Simple Storage Service) **WHAT YOU BRING** * 8+ years of experience in software engineering with a track record of technical excellence. * Hands-on experience in full-stack development, with a deep understanding of both front-end and back-end technologies.
