We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager. In this REMOTE role, you will coordinate, plan, and manage design and engineering activities for offsite projects under the supervision of the Director of Operations. The Engineering Manager is responsible for determining and maintaining proper resources, both in-house and through contracts and subcontracts, to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution.

Responsibilities:

Lead the design team in developing design criteria and work scopes for Wet Cooling projects.
Assemble and manage schedules, labor estimates, and budgets for the design department.
Provide technical and administrative direction to ensure project costs stay within budget.
Create, monitor, and report schedule and cost status to project management.
Make informed decisions and escalate design risks, exposures, and issues to senior management.
Resolve design-related problems and conflicts efficiently.
Ensure compliance with company standards, procedures, and contract requirements.
Guide the project engineering staff within the department.
Manage personnel, including performance reviews, counseling, talent development, etc.
Ensure structural adequacy of Wet Cooling projects and adherence to applicable codes.
Participate in proposal reviews with Sales to ensure technical standards are met.
Coordinate with intercompany design and engineering departments to optimize talent utilization.
Interface with clients for clarification, collaboration, and delivery of technical project documents.
Maintain knowledge of product components and build relationships with key suppliers.

Requirements:

Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a closely related degree from an accredited institution.
Ability to interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate the design and engineering of large and complex projects.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Leadership abilities with the capacity to manage personnel effectively.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Proficiency with CAD platforms AutoCAD and Solidworks.
Minimum 8 years' design and engineering experience on major infrastructure projects.
Minimum 2 years experience in a management/supervisory role.
