We are building the TikTok for fashion — a platform for creators to showcase their works, gain traction and build their brands.

Reverie is powered by two pieces of core technology:

An AI-enhanced design tool for creators to turn their design ideas into e-commerce quality product images very efficiently.
An AI-powered Virtual Dressing Room to create professional fashion photography directly from product images. Both fashion creators and other users can easily style outfits on different models.

With our core tech, we are building an active community of fashion creators (designers, stylists, influencers, bloggers, artists, casting directors, etc..) who produce original designs and engaging content around the published pieces. The social media platform will provide a streamlined path for fashion creators to experiment with their ideas and build traction.

We want to eventually become the default choice for anyone who wants to launch their fashion label, and have the future Off-White, Balenciaga, Rick Oven, etc. originate from Reverie. Our team combines deep expertise in technology (AI Phds) and the fashion industry (Community builder). Our Virtual Dressing room is live with top retailers (such as Neiman Marcus) and has ~1M ARR. About the role

Skills: Django, Flask, MongoDB, Python, React, Redis, SQL, DynamoDB, Docker, Bash/Shell, Amazon Web Services (AWS)

We're looking for a passionate and creative founding engineer/architect to join our team as an early member! You will work closely with the co-founders, define the product roadmap together, and have a lot of room for flexibility. You are expected to gradually take responsibilities of the backend infrastructure at Revery AI. You should take initiative to improve the system both at design and implementation level. As Revery grows, you may also help with recruiting and managing our engineering team.

What you'll be working on:

Understanding and improving our entire backend stack functionalities, multiple backends and services, data processing pipeline, database architecture, cloud infrastructure, etc.
Working directly with our founders to define the engineering roadmap and take initiative to drive things forward.
Interface with B2B clients and provide technical support for our product.
When time comes, help us scale the engineering team and lead it.

Experience we'd love to see:

You have 5-8+ years of experience with software engineering.
You have a solid software engineering background (Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related course of study)
You have experience setting up advance cloud infrastructure with multiple components and the ability to scale.
You have experience designing and shipping at least full-stack products from scratch - whether it was in your day job or projects outside of work
You understand the core engineering principles and are also able to adapt them to a face pace working environment.
You enjoy designing and building complex software systems with multiple components and code bases.
You enjoy taking responsibilities and ownership of tasks.

Technical Experience we’d love to see:

Extensive experience with setting up large projects on AWS (EC2, Load Balancer, VPC, Security Group, Auto Scaling Group, Lamda, S3, CloudFront Distribution, AWS-CLI tools, etc..)
Experience with Scalable API Backend using Python (Flask)
Experience with building data engineering pipeline, multi-threaded data processing, deploying deep learning models (Pytorch) and scripting (Python & bash)
Experience with NoSQL database (MongoDB) and SQL database, design schemas to handle queries on tables with millions of data entries, database cluster setup and security configuration, etc..
Experience with web frontend (React)
Experience with modern software engineering practices: agile development cycle, coding style, engineering documentations, unit & integration testing, code review, git version control, etc..

Experience with engineering hiring & management of engineers
Interfacing and collaborating with B2B clients experience
