Key Responsibilities

Conduct in-depth research on 5G and 6G network technologies, protocols, architectures, and applications, with a focus on European projects.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop innovative solutions for 5G and 6G networks, addressing scalability, reliability, security, and performance challenges.
Participate in European research initiatives, working closely with industry partners, universities, and research organizations to contribute to collaborative projects.
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements and trends in 5G and 6G networks, identifying opportunities for innovation and proposing novel research ideas.
Prototype, simulate, and validate new concepts and algorithms, leveraging state-of-the-art tools and methodologies.
Publish research findings in top-tier conferences and journals, showcasing thought leadership and contributing to the scientific community.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to internal teams, sharing knowledge and insights on 5G and 6G networks.
Contribute to project planning, defining research goals, milestones, and deliverables.
Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as regulatory bodies, standardization organizations, and industry forums, to influence the development and adoption of 5G and 6G networks.

Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field with a focus on software and networks.
Understanding of software related network protocols.
Experience in containerized/cloud technologies and DevOps.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and propose innovative solutions.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and present complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Track record of successfully working on collaborative research projects and delivering high-quality results.

Skills to be considered positively

AI/ML related understanding and experience is a plus.
Solid understanding of network protocols, including TCP/IP, IPsec, and routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP).
Proficiency in network simulation and modeling tools.
Experience with programming languages.
Familiarity with emerging technologies and concepts related to 5G and 6G networks is highly desirable, such as network slicing and edge computing.
Knowledge of European research initiatives and projects related to 5G and 6G networks is highly desirable.
Research background in 5G and/or 6G networks, demonstrated through publications and contributions to research projects is a plus.
