### About Ply Health Every healthcare provider in the US must be enrolled with payer networks (e.g. commercial insurance, Medicaid, etc.) to bill for services. However, the payer enrollment process is fragmented and time-consuming: each payer in every state has a unique process. This process is currently entirely manual and the complexity often leads to errors, causing months of delays and lost billings for providers. Ply Health standardizes and automates payer enrollment. Providers fill out a single form and our AI-powered connectors submit the correct forms and manage the cases until completion. In half a year, we’ve done over 3,000 enrollments for our customers and helped some of our customers halve their enrollment timelines, earning them hundreds of thousands of dollars more in revenue per provider. ## About the role **Skills:** Next.JS, TypeScript, Tailwind, LLMs We’re growing rapidly each month and are hiring a founding engineer to build features and automation to meet customer demand. Our vision is for all of this paperwork to be entirely automated by computers and to become the de facto network infrastructure between providers and payers. As the founding engineer, you’ll have a hand in all of our systems: customer-facing web app, AI automation, and internal tooling/infrastructure. You’ll also have a significant voice in deciding engineering strategy, best practices, and culture for the whole company going forward. ### **The core work will include:** * Product features to help customers visualize and manage their enrollments * Experimentation with cutting edge AI techniques to build automation for browser/PDF-based workflows while maintaining high accuracy * Build internal tooling and evals to monitor and collect feedback for AI systems * Working directly with the founders to shape the product direction and engineering strategy ### **We would love to meet if you:** * Are independent and resourceful with 2+ years of experience building real-world applications, with a very high bar for quality * Can rapidly go from 0 to 1 in building web applications * Want to work at an early startup, staying close to customers to iterate fast and solve their problems * Are excited about how AI can transform an inefficient manual process ### **Bonus points if you:** * Have prior experience founding a company or building products at early stages * Have built production LLM-powered applications * Are ambitious and driven, and care a lot about doing great work with great people * Keep up with the latest developments in ML/AI
