Role Description

We are seeking a Product Manager with a strong background in food science or food engineering, combined with experience in digital product management. This role will focus on developing AI-powered and data-driven solutions for food formulation, processing, and optimization.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in food development, ingredient functionality, and processing technologies and will have transitioned into managing digital tools, AI-driven platforms, or software solutions within the food industry. This position requires a deep understanding of scientific workflows, industry challenges, and digital transformation opportunities to create impactful, user-centric products.

Key Responsibilities

Define and drive the product strategy and roadmap for digital solutions that enhance food science and engineering processes.
Collaborate with food scientists, R&D teams, and process engineers to identify key industry challenges and translate them into product requirements.
Work closely with AI engineers, data scientists, and software developers to develop intelligent tools for food formulation, ingredient analysis, and process optimization.
Conduct market and user research to identify opportunities, validate features, and ensure product-market fit.
Translate scientific and technical requirements into clear, actionable user stories and specifications.
Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation and development to launch and continuous improvement.
Stay up to date with emerging trends in food science, AI applications, and regulatory requirements, integrating them into product development.
Define KPIs and success metrics, ensuring that product decisions are data-driven and aligned with business goals.
Support go-to-market strategies and work with marketing, sales, and customer success teams to drive adoption and engagement.

Who You Are

Degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, or a related discipline with experience in food formulation, processing, or optimization.
Proven experience as a Product Manager in digital solutions, preferably within food tech, food R&D, or manufacturing automation.
Strong understanding of food industry challenges, product development processes, and ingredient functionality.
Experience working with AI-powered applications, digital R&D platforms, or data-driven decision tools.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to product management.
Familiarity with agile methodologies and experience working with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar.
Fluency in English (Greek is a plus).

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)

Experience with food R&D software, digital twin technology, or predictive modeling for ingredient interactions.
Hands-on experience building or working with digital twins in the food industry.
Understanding of AI applications in food science, such as sensory modeling, shelf-life prediction, or process optimization.
Knowledge of food regulations and compliance standards (e.g., FDA, EFSA).
