Peabox Studios are looking for a dynamic and creative Social Video Producer & Journalist to join our team. As a disruptive video media company, we thrive on producing engaging and impactful content that resonates with our 'workday/work-life' audience. In this role, you will play a critical part in conceptualising, producing, and delivering high-quality social video content and news pieces for our own platform; 'Peabox.tv' and promoting micro-episodes and series across various platforms like TikTok and Instagram.

As the Social Video Producer & Journalist for Peabox, you will be responsible for researching trending workday, work-life, startup and technology topics, conducting interviews, filming and editing videos, and writing compelling scripts that captivate our viewers. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of content, from breaking news stories to work-lifestyle features. We are seeking someone with a keen eye for storytelling and a passion for delivering compact, bitesize, snackable, but informative and engaging videos to a global audience.

Responsibilities ⚡️

Collaborate with the production team to develop creative concepts and storylines for social video content.
Conduct in-depth research on trending topics to inform video production.
Write well-crafted 'micro-scripts', using ChatGPT, that effectively communicate the key message and engage the target audience.
Shoot and edit videos using provided mobile equipment, lighting, sound and software.
Conduct interviews with experts, industry professionals, and other relevant individuals.
Stay up-to-date with current events, trends, and news stories to ensure timely and relevant video content.
Manage video projects from pre-production to post-production, ensuring high-quality deliverables and timely execution.

Experience as a Social Video Producer, Journalist, or similar role.
Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premier/Rush, Veed, Canva).
Excellent imaginative and structured storytelling and scriptwriting skills.
Knowledge of current trends in social media and digital media production.
Proficient in using mobile/iPhone shooting and lighting techniques.
Strong interviewing and communication skills.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Degree in Media Studies, Video Journalism or TV production, or a related field is preferred.
