Private neurological surgery practice

We are searching for a full-time Patient Account Representative / Medical Biller for
our busy private surgery practice located in Murray. The practice is open Monday - Friday during
regular business hours, no nights or weekend required. The hours could be flexible depending on
experience.

Include:
Verifying patient eligibility and coverage
benefits.
Obtain pre-authorization for radiology,
surgical services or miscellaneous items as needed.
Insurance billing and account follow-up using
financial aging reports.
Prepare refunds for patient receivables.
Calculate patient responsibility, negotiate
collections for services rendered or scheduled.
Familiarization with insurance carrier
guidelines for services provided.
Answer billing inquires with patients,
providers and staff.

Must be dependable, honest, compassionate
individual to work with our patients, providers and staff.
Requires 3 to 5 years of healthcare
collections or equivalent experience.
Knowledge of physician procedure and
diagnosis coding.
Excellent verbal and written communication
and customer service skills.
Demonstrate knowledge of health insurance
billing, collection processes / requirements, and procedure and diagnosis coding.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and
Outlook.
