The Role

As a Product Designer at Medfin, you’ll be working closely with our CTO to design our platform for ease of use.

User Experience: Make our platform intuitive. We have a lot of data on our platform and we need our users to find the data they need… without having to spend hours trawling through tables.
User Flow: At its core, our platform helps dental practice owners identify why they’re not making money. The platform should flow from high level metrics into the details seamlessly.
Proactive AI generated insights: You’ll be designing software for the age of AI — our AI CTO “Finley” will be anticipating user needs. It’s your job to make sure its suggestions are surfaced clearly.
Reactive Design: Our users vary from single site practices to corporate groups. We need our design to vary depending on user type and user intent.
Drive design quality: Bring strong design principles and a desire to improve how we work.
Collaborate deeply with product, engineering, commercial teams and clients: We’re a tight team — at Medfin you’ll get stuck into product thinking, commercial goals, and user interviews.

Who You Are

We’re looking for a thoughtful, systems-minded Product Designer who loves turning complex data dashboards into clean, elegant insights. You care about outcomes, not just pixels, and you want to shape a product used daily by practice owners and managers.

You are:

Experienced with 3+ years designing end-to-end product experiences for complex, data-heavy SaaS, especially for non-data savvy users.
Exceptional at UX. You simplify without dumbing down. You know when to show detail and when to hide it.
Strong on flows and information architecture. You can map journeys from high-level dashboards into drill-down views that feel seamless and fast.
Comfortable with AI-era design. You design for proactive and reactive states, craft prompting and empty states, and make insights feel trustworthy.
Evidence-led. You run scrappy research, usability tests, and iterate based on signal. You can turn qualitative and quantitative data into design decisions.
Hands-on with the craft. You produce clear wireframes (ideally withFigma), beautiful UI, and production-ready design specs with components, tokens, and accessibility in mind.
Systems thinker. You build and maintain a coherent design system that scales across user types and device sizes.
Collaborative. You work closely with engineers, product, and commercial. You listen well, explain trade-offs, and get to decisions quickly. You’re comfortable working closely with an engineering team to ensure that implementation matches design.
Product-minded. You ask why, not just what. You tie design choices to business goals and user outcomes.
Self-directed. You can own a problem space, ship iteratively, and raise flags early without needing heavy oversight.
Quality-driven with pragmatism. You know where polish matters and where speed wins.
Comfortable with ambiguity. You can explore, prototype, throw work away, and move again.

Bonus points

Experience designinganalytics orfinancial products.
Familiarity withhealthcare workflows, especiallydentistry.
Demonstrable skill creating component libraries, and basicfrontend literacy to partner tightly with engineering. (We useTailwindCSS andshadcn/ui internally! -Eng 😄)
Experience designing multi-tenant or role-based interfaces forSMEs and enterprise groups.
