We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Freight Broker. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the movement of freight between shippers and carriers, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods.

As a Freight Broker, you will play a vital role in the logistics process, acting as the liaison between our clients and carriers. You will be responsible for negotiating rates, securing capacity, and managing relationships with both shippers and carriers to meet our customers' transportation needs. This is a fast-paced and dynamic role that requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

Communicate with shippers and carriers to determine transportation needs and find suitable solutions
Negotiate rates and secure capacity with carriers to meet customer requirements
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and carriers
Track and trace shipments to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues that may arise
Maintain accurate records of customer transactions, including rates, contracts, and shipment details
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns in a timely manner
Stay up-to-date on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory requirements to make informed business decisions

Previous experience as a freight broker or in a similar role
Strong understanding of transportation and logistics processes
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Proficient in using transportation management systems and other relevant software
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and carriers
Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards
