About the role

Join our dynamic team at Livedocs. In this role, you'll work closely with the founder to extend Livedocs' reach and make data analytics easily accessible to modern teams.

Our platform empowers businesses to be data-driven without the need for coding or SQL. With our no-code interface for analytics, we provide teams the flexibility and functionality they need in a few clicks.

Currently, our entire team shares growth responsibilities. This role is dedicated to digital marketing and partnerships. It is perfect for someone who is able to run effective campaigns and partnerships using various tools, be it code-based or no-code. This role provides the impact and freedom of an early-stage hire and comes with growth opportunities into management or specialized roles.

Responsibilities

SEO Management: Optimize website and content for search engines.
Outbound Marketing: Lead LinkedIn and email outreach campaigns (experience with tools like Mailchimp or Apollo is a plus).
Social Media Management: Drive our social media strategy across various platforms (familiarity with Buffer or similar tools is beneficial, but not required).
Distribution Partners: Identify and negotiate partnerships with influencers and other potential distribution channels.
Content Creation: Generate promotional materials and screen recordings of the Livedocs product.

Interview Process

We're looking for colleagues who enjoy talking to customers, iterating & shipping quickly, and show a strong sense of ownership and autonomy.

We are a sustained high-performance team. We are regularly pushed out of our comfort zones. A lot is asked of us: excellence in our work, solving hard challenges, 100% accountability for our actions, and an ownership mentality (often requiring long hours and the infrequent sync on weekends). We rest and recover when needed but make ourselves available if we are the blocker on a key task.

Our team is a low-ego environment, and we are all aligned that we are a humble group of hackers and tinkerers who have set out to build the Vercel for data.

Phone Screen (25 mins)

This stage is a more informal call to get to know more about the role, and for you to evaluate whether it's a good fit for you. We are looking for people with a strong interest in startups and motivation to help them; this is usually exhibited by past experience working at or starting one yourself.

Lastly, the conversation will cover some light technical discussion about your past projects. Mostly, we want to know that you can code and ship fairly involved systems and speak to them with clarity on the details.

Whiteboard interview (45-minute call)

Since this role requires constantly designing and executing growth experiments, we will go hands-on here. You will take a few days to draft a simple growth experiment (anything from a Twitter campaign to a template targeted toward a particular use case) and pitch it to the team.

This will demonstrate how well you are aligned with our product-led growth model and your creative skills. Feel free to use a few slides or a FigJam to pitch the experiment or channel to us.

The discussion will mainly revolve around the implementation, goals, metrics, and other details of the experiment. We will give you a few examples to work with, and you may need to ask some questions for more context to the team in the days leading up to this step of the interview.

Paid consultation (async, paid, 1-2 weeks)

If the previous step checks out, we can run the experiment. This will measure our ability to work together, and we will be compensating a fair market rate for the time you put in over a 1-2 week period.

You will drive the implementation of the growth experiment you designed in the previous whiteboard interview and report the results and learnings once the 1-2 week period is done.

Timing

The typical interview process takes a month from start to finish, but we tend to match your cadence and can move faster or slower based on your availability. We have moved more quickly and look to accommodate candidates who might have a short timeline or competing offers.

After the first two interviews, we sometimes short-circuit the process with a "no-hire." We have found that going through the entire process gives us enough to make a go/no-go decision.
