The Regional Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations, compliance, and performance of multiple plasma donation centers within an assigned region. This role involves managing center managers, ensuring high standards of safety and quality, and driving operational excellence to meet business objectives. The Regional Manager will play a key role in maintaining donor satisfaction, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maximizing operational efficiency across the region.

SPECIFIC POSITION DUTIES (RESPONSIBILITIES, TASKS, ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

Operational Management:

Oversee daily operations of multiple plasma donation centers, ensuring they meet performance goals in terms of donor volume, productivity, and profitability.
Ensure centers operate in compliance with regulatory standards (FDA, EU, etc.) and company policies.
Monitor and optimize the collection process, staffing levels, and inventory management to maximize efficiency.

Staff Leadership and Development:

Lead, coach, and mentor Center Managers, ensuring they are equipped to meet organizational and performance goals.
Foster a positive work environment, ensuring high levels of staff engagement and morale.
Develop training programs and succession plans to support employee growth within the region.

Regulatory Compliance and Safety:

Ensure all plasma centers maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies, including the FDA and OSHA.
Regularly audit donation centers for adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.
Implement corrective actions and improvements when necessary to maintain compliance.

Financial Performance:

Drive financial performance by developing and executing strategies to achieve revenue and cost targets.
Review financial reports for each center and take appropriate action to manage expenses and increase profitability.
Collaborate with the finance department to prepare budgets and forecasts.

Donor Relations:

Monitor donor satisfaction and retention rates, ensuring a high level of donor experience and engagement.
Implement initiatives to increase donor loyalty and new donor acquisition.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

Partner with corporate leadership, quality assurance, marketing, and HR teams to ensure alignment with company-wide strategies and objectives.
Implement new processes, technologies, and programs as directed by senior leadership.

Reporting and Analysis:

Prepare regular reports on center performance, KPIs, and operational metrics.
Analyze trends and use data to drive decision-making and continuous improvement

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS)

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare management, or related field.

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of management experience in a plasma collection or similar industry.
Proven multi-site management experience, preferably in a regulated healthcare or pharmaceutical environment.
Experience in process improvement, operational efficiency, and staff development.
Track record of managing financial performance, including budgeting and cost control.

Knowledge:

In-depth knowledge of regulatory standards such as FDA, OSHA, EU regulations, and cGMP requirements.
Strong understanding of plasma donation processes and operational best practices.
Familiarity with quality assurance and safety protocols in healthcare settings.
Knowledge of business management principles, including financial planning, resource allocation, and performance evaluation.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during site visits or audits.
Capacity to lift up to 25 lbs. as needed (e.g., moving equipment or supplies).
