We provide our users with data-driven post-match reports for the matches they play in competitive video games. Our match reports help users understand how they perform, celebrate their best plays, and compare accomplishments with their friends.

We've got great traction in our first game (Counter-Strike). Our CS product is used by more than 200k players every month and that user base is growing rapidly. Our users are extremely enthusiastic about the product we're building and we're keen to continue delivering a great product for them.
The company is at an inflection point where we are scaling from supporting just one game to multiple games. This comes with many interesting challenges from product, organization, and technical perspectives.
We're 17 people, but we are looking to grow to 25 people over the next year. You'll be part of a small and cross-functional team with plenty of room to grow your career in a rapidly growing company. You'll have a big impact on the company's success.

About the role

Leetify is seeking a creative and dedicated designer to join our CS team. As a UI/UX Designer in the CS team at Leetify, you will have the unique opportunity to combine your expertise in design with your love for Counter-Strike to craft intuitive, engaging, and visually stunning user interfaces that resonate with our diverse player base.

You will be supporting the Leetify team in improving the Counter-Strike platform, working closely with the rest of the CS team, which includes a Product Manager, another designer and several developers.

You will get to work with a passionate team dedicated to making a meaningful impact on the gaming community, and you will get the opportunity to shape how gamers share their accomplishments with each other.

Summary of responsibilities

Join the design team and collaborate with the rest of the CS team, in particular with the PM, to understand product requirements and user needs
Convert feature specifications from the product manager to finalized UI Designs. Work together with the PM to quickly iterate on solutions and create handovers for your designs to the developers
Help build and iterate on Leetify’s overall design system and brand along with your design peers
Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to effectively communicate design ideas
Occasionally create data visualizations, marketing materials or graphics for social media posts
Stay in touch with user feedback to help inform design choices, occasionally joining in user conversations
Stay up-to-date with both industry trends and CS news and community

About you

You are a talented and experienced UI designer with a passion for gaming, particularly Counter-Strike. You play and have played a large amount of CS and have a deep understanding of the game and its community. You are enthusiastic to hear what CS players and potential users say about Leetify and to help generate ideas to solve their problems.

Your passion is primarily on the visual side, you love to craft great looking and intuitive user interfaces. However, you know that to make great choices when designing a UI, you need to understand UX principles and our users. You are proficient in Figma and/or other design tools such as Adobe XD, Axure, Sketch, Illustrator, or equivalent.

You have excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively articulate design concepts and ideas. You are able to work independently while collaborating with other designers, documenting decisions, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You are confident in communicating both synchronously and asynchronously, with the latter being especially important in a remote company covering many time zones like Leetify.

You take pride in delivering designs that delight users and make Leetify’s product great. At the same time, you’re a big believer in 20% of the effort giving 80% of the value, and use that as a framework to know when it’s time to deliver a design / project knowing that it is only one part of a holistic user experience, all of which needs our love and attention.

You have previously worked in a team of designers and have experience designing for web applications. It’s a bonus if you have experience working with and maintaining design systems. You have collaborated with developers and understand the basics of how HTML, CSS and maybe even JavaScript work for implementing responsive designs.
