We enable AI for biology with an open data platform and are backed by [YC](https://www.ycombinator.com/) and the investors behind [HuggingFace](https://huggingface.co/) & [Recursion](https://www.recursion.com/). We approach $1M ARR by serving our customers across BigPharma, BioTech & academia. We previously helped grow one of the first Techbio companies ([Cellarity](https://cellarity.com/)) from 3 to 120 and created widely used open-source software: [Scanpy](https://scanpy.readthedocs.io/en/stable/), [anndata](https://anndata.readthedocs.io/en/latest/) & [scverse](https://scverse.org/). On [lamin.ai](https://lamin.ai/), users create and manage data lake instances like git repositories (e.g., [here](https://lamin.ai/laminlabs/lamindata)). The Svelte foundation and backend APIs are in place, but most features still need to be created. We're looking for an excellent front-end engineer to drive key feature development. **What you’ll do** * Design intuitive, performant user interfaces for scientists & ML engineers inspired by products like Notion, GitHub, HuggingFace, and Weights & Biases * Implement scalable, maintainable, and well-structured code in Svelte * Continuously improve the platform’s performance and user experience * Participate in technical discussions and contribute to decision-making that impacts both the front-end and overall user experience **What we’re looking for** You are passionate about high-quality design and code and excited about working on a platform that enables science & machine learning. * Proficiency in frontend frameworks with at least some experience in Svelte * A strong sense of design and an ability to make complex workflows intuitive and user-friendly * Excited to learn, solve technical challenges, and continuously improve * Strong collaboration and communication * Interest in biotech, life sciences, and/or machine learning * Bonus: Experience with data platforms **Why join us** * Work on a modern platform at the intersection of BioTech & ML * Be part of a small, passionate team where your contributions will have much impact * Work in a fast-paced environment that will challenge you to grow and learn quickly * Competitive salary and equity * Remote work ((HQ in Munich and team members across Europe & US) Links to projects/GitHub that showcase your technical skills would be great.
